Position- Delivery Manager - Delivery
Accountabilities of Delivery Manager:
- Focuses on delivering Customer value in line to BluePi preferred methodology in partnership with various stakeholders.
- Prepares or contributes to the financial business outcome for the project(s)/customer(s) account(s) with a clear line of sight to the customer value being delivered in accordance with investment and funding requirements against the project(s) requirement.
- Identifies and manages the processes/governance for all the project(s).
- Ensures the delivery of customer value through project(s) outcomes and services meet the customer objectives as per the agreed roadmap which enhances customer experience.
- Works with Delivery team(s) and relevant Centers of Excellence as required to ensure appropriate resources with the right skills and capabilities to deliver customer value are assigned to the project.
- Builds,manages and maintains a positive working relationship with senior stakeholders across multiple team(s) internal / external , influencing decision making in line with organization and customer objectives.
- Takes ownership for all project(s) plans/controls and resource plans, progress reporting on plans/controls in line with the requirements and keep constant focus and challenge on organization value.
- Is accountable for account/customer level RAID.
- Empowers and leads Delivery/Project teams through the project lifecycle. Coaches individual Project Manager(s) and is a point of escalation for Project Managers.
- Tracks and reports on project/account level costs and ensure project(s) is completed within agreed budget.
- Ensures the team(s) has sufficient specialist knowledge and capability.
- Manages the implementation of architecture outcomes so that design and delivered components are in line to the agreed solution design.
- Create a culture of learning and continuous improvement through great people leadership, coaching, engagement and development of skills.
- Display behavior in line to organization purpose and values.
- Actively support the plans to improve engagement within the unit/account eg. communication, social responsibility.
- By promoting servant leadership qualities manage the needs of the team, ensuring all people processes and policies are adhered to eg. performance management,absence & leave etc.
- Complete all mandatory training/accreditations as applicable to your role and ensure your team have completed as required.
- Proactive identification and effective management and or escalation of conduct risk to deliver key customer outcomes.
- Owning, managing and supervising within a defined risk appetite the risk which exists in the unit.
- Ensuring appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risk, controls in place for customer service and competitive advantage.
- Ensuring a culture of risk decision making and compliance with policy, laws and regulations from organization and customer perspective.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Experience Knowledge and experience of managing project(s) / delivery portfolios, models and practices.
- Experience in setting up delivery portfolios driving customer outcomes in a scaled Agile/DevOps environment.
- Hands-on experience in setting up projects and governance for projects.
- Experience in managing and controlling costs/revenue of a unit/account successfully.
- Experience of delivering customer / business strategies that support its growth agenda.
- A very capable communicator with the ability to communicate business / technical concepts to your peers and management level colleagues with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Facilitating daily scrum discussions with the teams, to understand the current work progress and the underlying impediments which hinder the execution process for business value generation.
- Facilitating release and sprint planning based on scope and velocity/capacity of the team.
- Sharing and managing the weekly status reporting to senior management highlighting crucial aspects of the delivery – Primarily focusing on status, risks, cost burn rate and management.
- Career planning and progression of the resources as a reporting manager, for focused professional development via appraisals.
- Auditing the teams for Agile maturity and preparing an action plan for improvement.
- Supporting a smooth and easier transition to production during quarterly releases.
- Working on the organization level for improved performance of the team and their adherence to metrics defined – Scope change, average velocity, commitment reliability, capacity utilization, backlog health, defect density and defect leakage.
- Configuring JIRA and Confluences with respect to story workflow and data management in a hierarchical manner.
- Responsible for Interaction with business team, Product Owners, Ordering Chain – Operations teams and other stakeholders for requirement gathering.
- Responsible for conducting Scrum meetings etc.
- Responsible for Project planning meetings, Status meetings, Review meetings.
- Responsible for Resourcing, follow – ups with different teams.
- Responsible for Organizing team meetings & Status meetings with various teams for explaining status.
- Responsible for Timely Delivery, QEV, UAT, Product Roll-out.
